The Delhi government launched the 'Business Blasters' programme on Sunday, a first-of-its-kind televised event that would allow students in classes 11 and 12 at Delhi government-run schools to pitch their start-up ideas to investors and get investment funding to take them to the next level.

Kids' entrepreneurial ideas will be featured on the show, which were chosen from 51,000 entries submitted by 3,00,000 students.

"The show is giving students a platform to showcase their business ideas while also instilling confidence and a problem-solving mindset in them, which will assist India's economy in the long run," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.

As seed money, all participating students would receive Rs 2,000 apiece. The teams will either make a profit or have a positive social impact with this seed money. Students whose ideas have been shortlisted will have the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of judges who are experts in their professions.

'Business Blasters' is a hands-on component of the Entrepreneur Mindset Curriculum (EMC) for classes 11 and 12. It was created to give students in Delhi government schools the experience of working in groups, brainstorming and identifying social challenges or business opportunities, preparing business plans, and implementing their ideas in their communities.
